Story
Hello, I'm Niamh - a Cork girl now living in Australia, taking on the challenge of running the 2026 Sydney Marathon.
Working with children has always been more than just a job for me. As someone who works with children everyday, I get to see their joy, their resilience and the incredible love that surrounds them every single day.
But I also know that not every family gets to experience those moments without hardship.
That’s why I’ve chosen to run for Cliona’s Foundation — an amazing Irish charity that provides financial support to families caring for a seriously ill child. When a child becomes sick, everything changes. The emotional toll is already overwhelming and the added financial pressure can make it even harder.
No family should have to worry about bills, travel costs, or lost income while trying to be there for their child.
Running 26.2 miles is a challenge, but it’s nothing compared to what these families go through.
I’m running for them.
If you can, please consider donating — no matter how big or small. Every contribution will go directly towards helping families in Ireland when they need it most.
And if you’re not in a position to donate, sharing this page would mean just as much 💚
Thank you for supporting me, supporting Cliona’s Foundation and supporting families who need it most.
Niamh ☘️
