Story
On 26th April 2026 I will be joining #TeamLAS and flying the flag for the London Ambulance Service at the iconic TCS London Marathon 2026.
When l found out l had been given a place in #TeamLAS l was excited and nervous at the same time. I have run 10kms and half Marathons, but this will be my first actual Marathon. I feel so lucky and privileged to be running in the Marathon of my home city but also running for London Ambulance and representing my colleagues and the fantastic work they do.
During 2025 l have not enjoyed good health. The London Marathon on a personal level is giving me the opportunity to motivate me to get my fitness back.
Donations also pay for things like our Wellbeing Support Vehicles, ensuring our paramedics and frontline crews receive the mental heath support they need during difficult shifts.
I am a Driving Tutor based at our Dockside education centre. Through my job l have met many of our wonderful clinicians that do such a vital job all around the capital all day and night.
I have a lot of training to do which will not be easy, but will be motivated by knowing l am doing my small bit to help all my amazing colleagues help the people of London when they need it most.
So, I would be so grateful if you could support me in helping the busiest ambulance service in the UK to raise vital funds. These donations will help the London Ambulance Charity through #TeamLAS to help improve the wellbeing of staff and volunteers, supporting great patient care.
Thank you.
Nic
