Story
I served for three years with the South Australia Police.
During this time, I observed and experienced the limitless challenges and unique hardships our emergency service personnel face every single day and night.
I was in awe of the courage and heroism displayed by these men and women, and the selfless devotion in their efforts to protect our communities and serve their society to the highest calling.
They are constantly exposed to unique and horrifying traumas, and they put their own lives on the line to protect innocence from evil and at times protect society from itself.
Facing so many traumas and challenges can have debilitating consequences on a person's mental health and wellbeing.
MESHA is dedicated to research and programs that serve to impact the mental health and wellbeing of military and emergency service members and their families.
At the core of this fundraiser, is supporting an organisation that has devoted it's efforts to the health and longevity of these members.
As their service and devotion to our community not only stops society from descending into all out chaos, but also inspires the very best in each of us, to demand more of us, to look out and care for each other, and strive to live as the very best versions of ourselves.
