I take for granted the relative freedom of speech and rights of religious worship we have in this country. But many Christians around the world are facing extreme persecution for their faith. Imprisonment (without trial), torture, criminalisation, social injustice; for many these are just the norm. Freedom, as we experience it, is hard to perceive.

Release International seeks to help Christians in the UK and Ireland to actively engage with their persecuted brothers and sisters around the world: praying with them, standing with them and helping them. And so I want to put myself well out of my comfort zone, to stand alongside those who daily are out of theirs through no fault of their own. So I will be doing the Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge (walking 100km in hopefully about 24 hours). I have till May 16th to get some serious training in...
