This World AIDS Day, seven of us from Impulse London are taking on the RED RUN for National AIDS Trust.

Impulse London is a volunteer-led LGBTQ+ organisation working across HIV and sexual health, mental health, substance use and social justice. We believe progress on HIV is not only about prevention and treatment, but also about challenging stigma, inequality and the barriers that still shape people’s lives.

That is why we are supporting National AIDS Trust, the UK’s HIV rights charity. NAT fights discrimination, challenges structural inequalities, improves access to prevention and care, and campaigns for policy change. Earlier this year, NAT helped to secure NHS access to lenacapavir for people with highly drug-resistant HIV who had exhausted other treatment options. Back in the 2010s, they took NHS England to court and won, so that we can all now access PrEP.

Because medical progress only matters if everyone can benefit from it, free from stigma, discrimination and inequality.
