Story
Hi all! Nick here. I am not (historically) a runner, but I'm proverbially and literally running uphill this May to support London Nightline, a peer-to-peer student suicide prevention & listening service which serves hundreds of thousands of students across London. I did the couch to 5k back last Autumn and am endeavouring a semi-respectable time at the Hackney Half and also to raise money for a practical mental health resource. Any help is much appreciated 🙏
London Nightline was set up over 50 years ago with the mission of reducing loneliness and preventing student suicides, and we have been at the heart of student mental health support ever since.
Our free, overnight listening service is a lifeline for thousands of students every year. It runs from 6pm-8am, when other welfare services or support systems tend to be unavailable. There are no referrals or waiting lists, and no problem is too big or too small to discuss with our fully-trained helpline volunteers. Students talk to us about everything from academic stress and relationship problems to mental health and suicide.
I can't thank you enough to be honest. Nightline has made such a difference.
This running team is made up of some incredible, dedicated supporters of the charity, including volunteers and alumni. All donations make a big difference and will go directly towards running the Nightline.
Thank you so much.
