CURRENT UPDATE:
I am currently riding across Australia! A brutal experience so far but very rewarding! Headwinds topping 50kph, water and services gaps of over 200km and temperatures exceeding 42C (so far!). I’ve been rewarded with some of the best sunrises and set of the trip, constant generosity from anyone and everyone and a taste of true isolation.
I hope to reach Sydney on the 1st March, completing a coast to coast crossing of close to 5000km in just under a month.

I’m not sure how many times I will get the opportunity to “nip out round the world” on my bike in life, so I am keen to make the MOST of this trip - and part of that is raising money for a great cause. Please have a read below for details!

Hello!
Thanks for visiting my Just Giving page for my quick two wheeled trip across the planet… any donation you feel able to give goes to a brilliant cause and would also make my arse feel like this whole endeavour was worth it!
In its 38 years, Future Hope has helped hundreds of kids get off the streets of Kolkata, India. Providing a safe place to stay, an education, and giving them a chance in life through great job opportunities which often leads to the them lifting both themselves and also their families out of poverty. Future Hope depends on donations to continue providing, and this is a crucial and exciting time as the school is doubling in size to accommodate more students.
I will be passing through Kolkata along my route, probably around December. I was last there in 2004 (when I was 7!) so I think things might have changed a bit since then, but I can’t wait to meet the kids and catch up with some old friends. I hear they have a cycling team now, and I look forward to them joining me at some point in India!
