Update - I Walked West for CW+ (In the rain!) and met the Mayor of Hounslow on the way - Not too late to give!
This walk from Chelsea and Westminster to West Middlesex celebrated 10 years since the West Middlesex Hospital became part of Chelsea and Westminster in September 2015. I joined the walk between the two sites to raise funds for CW+, the official charity of the Trust that runs West Middlesex and Chelsea & Westminster Hospitals.
CW+ plays a vital role in enhancing patient care, supporting NHS staff, and driving forward innovation to improve health outcomes.
A new £75m diagnostic centre is under construction on the West Middlesex site. It will be a cutting-edge facility that will expand and improve cancer, renal, and imaging services for patients across West London.
CW+ is complementing this NHS investment by raising £1.5 million towards making the new Ambulatory Diagnostic Centre (ADC) at West Mid a welcoming environment for patients; creating a garden and installing art, as well as funding a much-needed cardio-MRI Scanner and improving well-being support for the amazing hospital staff. The target of £1.5m for this has reached the half-way mark, so do help us reach the full amount!
As the last Chair of the Trust Board at West Middlesex who saw through the merger, it is personally important to me to celebrate this important anniversary and to play my part by "Walking West" in support of this great cause—every donation brings us one step closer to making it a reality.
So please support me on September 28th, 2025, as we walk together in gratitude for our hospitals' incredible journey over the past decade. Your support means everything; together we can make a lasting impact on patient care across our community. Thank you for your generosity!
