Alsama have established three schools, two in a refugee camp in Beirut and one in Damascus to educate Syrian refugees. They teach academics, cricket, chess and music. All the children start off with virtually nothing, other than clothes on their backs. Many are orphans. Education is their only chance. I have been to one of the schools and the children are delightful. They think I am Jack Grealish!! The ambition is to get them into western universities. They have just been registered with The Western Association of Schools and Colleges which is incredible. I intend to work there in October 2025
