The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge

Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge ⛰️ · 13 August 2023
Big up for taking the time to swing by my JG page.
- 5.9 in 100 people have Generalised Anxiety Disorder
- 3.3 in 100 people have Depression
- 1.3 in 100 people have OCD
- 4.4 in 100 people have PTSD
- and 7.8 in 100 people have a combination of Anxiety & Depression
But only 1 in 8 adults are currently receiving help for mental health-related issues. How mad is that?
I'm undertaking the classic, Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge to help raise awareness and much-needed support for those that are going through the ringer.
The Yorkshire three peaks challenge covers 23 miles and takes just under 12 hours to complete, spanning from the heights of Whernside, along to Ingleborough and the lows of Pen-Y-Ghent, covering 1585m of ascending.
I've chosen to fundraise for Mind, a charity that holds a lot of saliency in the mental health space which has done some amazing things for people who need support and help.
As someone who isn't neurotypical and has had challenges with mental health throughout my life, it feels like a really salient cause to raise cash for. It's orite to not be orite.
