*My Story*

In October 2021 we lost an important member of our family in my Grandfather (Pop) to the disease. Within a year of this, we recieved the dreaded news that my other Grandfather (My Bamps), also has the disease and required life-saving surgery urgently. Thankfully the surgery was successful and my Bamps is here to tell the tale. These are 2 really important people to me, and to try and give back to a charity that carries out research and investment for this cause means a lot.

*A little bit about Bowel Cancer and Bowel Cancer Uk*

Bowel cancer is the fourth most common cancer in Wales. Every year almost 2,300 people are diagnosed with bowel cancer in Wales and more than 900 people die from the disease. However bowel cancer is treatable and curable especially if diagnosed early.

We fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.
