I've been a volunteer at Sistema Scotland's Big Noise centre in Govanhill, Glasgow, since I moved to Scotland in 2022. Sistema Scotland’s mission is to improve lives and strengthen communities using music and nurturing relationships. The Big Noise orchestra programmes support children to develop invaluable life skills including confidence, resilience, pride and aspiration, helping them reach their potential and lead successful and fulfilled lives. Established Big Noise programmes support children and young people across six communities: Raploch and Fallin in Stirling, Govanhill in Glasgow, Torry in Aberdeen, Douglas in Dundee and Wester Hailes in Edinburgh.
