I have a place in LONDON MARATHON 2024 through my local running club – LUDLOW RUNNERS!

At 69 years and 8 days old on 21 Apr 24 it will be a challenge to run 26.2 miles. I have a strict training programme and intend to raise money for my chosen charity - "Hands Together Ludlow".

Hands Together Ludlow is OUR local charity. It works with partners, stakeholders and volunteers to create a more equal community in and around Ludlow by reducing poor health, social isolation and financial hardship. These interventions are SO necessary with the present financial uncertainty. It is a charity that reaches out across our local community to relief a wide range of need. This wide range includes:

• A Food Hub and Community Fridge

• Men’s Shed for isolated males.

• Community Lunch and Afternoon Tea for the lonely.

• Good Grief Café for the bereaved

• Parkinson’s Support Group

• Company at Christmas –Christmas Day lunch for the lonely

• Befriending: One to one friendship to people who will benefit from increased social contact.

• Good Start Together – Parent and Toddler group for those who need a bit more help and support

• Dog Walking – Short-term help with dog walking following injury or sickness

• DIY and Gardening

• Young People – Youth Mentoring and other activities aimed at young people.

• Transport – for those with no other means to get to important appointments.

• Digital Inclusion – Find help with learning how to use the internet safely or troubleshoot your digital equipment if you are on a low income.

• Healthy Eating – Come and learn how to cook healthy meals and reduce food waste.

Any donation that you make will improve the wellbeing and comfort of those people in need in Ludlow and its surrounding communities. I thank you sincerely for any donation, but the greatest thanks will be from those in our community that HandsTogetherLudlow will be able to support.
