Story

The Soane Museum is the extraordinary house of Sir John Soane, one of the greatest English architects, which has been kept as it was at the time of his death in 1837. It displays his collection of antiquities, furniture, sculptures, architectural models, paintings and over 30,000 architectural drawings.

Today, anyone can visit the Museum for free, just as Soane intended. We host thought-provoking exhibitions and events, and maintain a rich research library. Your support is vital and donations help us ensure all can enjoy Soane's legacy.
