"Marie Curie Fundraising Penarth & District are a local community group dedicated to raising money and awareness of Marie Curie.

Story

As a family we are raising money for Emma. A beautiful, wife, mother, daughter, aunty, sister in law and friend that was taken from us far too early.

Marie Curie helped all of the family with the support that they gave, and the love they showed to Emma in her illness, and in her final days.

Emma was at the Mare Curie Hospice, Penarth and she had a beautiful room with an amazing view of the Pier and Harbour. The staff were exceptional.

Without Marie Curie, and fundraising, none of this would be possible. Anything you are able to give is always a huge help.

All the money raised will help Marie Curie provide vital care and support to people living with a terminal illness, and their families at the toughest time. Just an idea of what your money can help with:

£3 helps fund a meal.

£26 helps fund an hour of bereavement support.

£207 helps for nine hours of overnight nursing care in a patient’s home.

The Nicholson boys, Katie and their mum are joining the Beat the Gower Coast 2025 event organised by Marie Curie where they will be walking 24 miles along the Gower Coast 6th September.

Katie will be running a 50 mile Ultra Marathon in Somerset 10th May, and then as if that is not enough, Katie is attempting a run/walk/possibility of crawling 103 miles North Downs Way 9th August. (Almost twice the distance Katie has done before.) Katie will put ALL her effort into completing, however, a disclaimer, this is a gruelling challange, it has to been run in 30 hours and there are cut off’s during the race, where by you are pulled off the course if you don’t meet the timings!

Please only donate if you are happy with all events being attempted, and possibly not being completed.

Thank you for your support for our beautiful Emma.
