Team Baldwin Boxall Takes on the Lewes Raft Race for WoLo!
Raising funds for: WoLo Foundation
This July, six brave (and slightly mad!) team members from Baldwin Boxall will be swapping office chairs for paddles and diving into the fun of the Lewes Raft Race – all in support of the amazing WoLo Foundation.
After our first raft design sank in testing faster than a long-shot at Beacher's Brook, our team regrouped with the spirit of true champions (and some duct tape). Back with a vengeance — and a suspicious amount of fake turf — our new raft pays homage to the legendary 1975 Grand National. This time, it’s not just about staying afloat — it’s about crossing the finish line in full gallop! With the crew dressed as jockeys and one brave soul embodying the horse (possibly regretting every life decision). Let’s hope this time, it’s the raft doing the winning — and not the water!
The WoLo Foundation (“We Only Live Once”) is a Sussex-based charity that helps families living with cancer by providing practical help, emotional support, and financial assistance. Their work is a lifeline to many during incredibly tough times – and we’re honoured to be supporting them.
Our raft might not be fast, but our passion for this cause runs deep. Expect wild outfits, soggy team members, and a whole lot of fun on the water!
How You Can Help
By donating to our fundraiser, you’ll be directly supporting local families affected by cancer. Every penny goes towards making their journey a little easier – whether through meals, transport, childcare, or simply a helping hand when it's needed most.
Let’s turn paddling into purpose. Thank you for helping us support WoLo – and wish us luck on the river!
We’re rowing for hope. We’re rowing for WoLo.
