Story

Thank you for visiting our page in memory of our beautiful daughter, Alex Britton. Alex suffered from a rare and aggressive form of cancer called a sarcoma, specifically Mesenchymal Chondrosarcoma. Her disease first showed in the summer of 2020 and she fought constantly and positively against it until she died on 2nd March 2026. She remained brave and dignified throughout, despite the many setbacks she endured, determined not to let the disease control her life. Alex certainly lived life to the full, bless her! In this she was well supported by all her many good friends as well as the professional, technical and caring support of the Sarcoma team at University College London Hospital and their Macmillan centre.

Alex wished that any donations made in her memory go to Sarcoma UK. This is a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments. Sarcoma develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. By supporting Alex in her cause, we can help change this. Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep our Support Line open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care.

Thank you for your support in memory of Alex.
