Story
My youngest daughter (Harper) had a VSD that required open heart surgery at 6 months old.
The stress for me and my partner when Harper was having surgery and also seeing her after surgery was unbearable, I can not begin to think what it is like for the patients who are actually going through the surgery and also other families.
I can’t thank the Sheffield children’s hospital and Leeds hospital and the children’s heart surgery enough. This is why I’ve decided to do this walk.
1 in 125 babies are born with congenital heart defect. So I’m going to walk 125 miles which roughly leads me in to Watford.
With me and my family being big Wednesday fans, we thought it would make sense to walk to vicarage road when it’s Watford Vs Sheffield Wednesday.
Any donation is so valuable for this amazing cause to help children and parents going through the difficult period of waiting for the surgery and the surgery its self and also the recovery.
Friends and family surprised me and did the walk with me! Special thanks to all them and also a big thank you to
Thorney and Pingu for sorting the surprise with the walk
Patrick Seal for helping me with the fundraising
Cawth for sorting the video
Brendan Williams for sorting out the shirts
So please if you can spare any money can you give a donation!
Thanks for the taking the time to read this.
Nick
