I’ve signed up for the Trinity Hospice 10K Fun Run this year, and it feels especially meaningful.

Trinity Hospice has been supporting Dan with such care, kindness and compassion. The support she’s received has been incredible — not just clinically, but emotionally too — and it’s made a real difference during a time when steadiness and reassurance matter more than anything.

Trinity is also a charity very close to my heart. I’ve supported them for over 30 years, long before this chapter of our lives, and I’ve seen first-hand the quiet, extraordinary work they do for individuals and families every single day.

I took up running last summer, around the time Dan was diagnosed. At first it was just a way to clear my head — something to focus on when everything felt uncertain. Over time, it’s become something grounding, something positive, and a reminder that showing up, one step at a time, really does matter.

This 10K is my way of giving something back — running in thanks, in support, and with a lot of heart.
