Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

Hello there.

I'm running the Valencia marathon this December to raise money for Brain Tumour Research.

Some of you may know my brilliant colleague Glenn Campbell, BBC Scotland's political editor. Glenn has a brain tumour and made a film about it, which you can watch here.

For the decade I've known Glenn, he's always been a busy man. Having a brain tumour hasn't stopped that - quite the opposite. Glenn has done some amazing work setting up Brain Power, to raise cash to fund the work of the Scottish Brain Tumour Research Centre of Excellence.

Glenn has written about what the charity is looking to achieve here.

The top line; if you can spare a few quid, all the money raised for Brain Power will help speed up diagnosis and improve treatment for people with brain tumours.

Thanks so much in advance to everyone who donates.

Nick
