A 50k walk sounds quite reasonable — right up until you realise it’s over 30 miles on your feet. That’s a full day of hills, sore legs, questionable life choices around mile 25, and a serious battle between determination and the temptation of the nearest café. It’s not just a long walk; it’s a proper trekking endurance challenge. Blisters are a certainty, it won't be comfortable, and finishing will absolutely feel earned.

I’m taking it on to raise money for Key to Joy, a local charity focused on bringing practical support, positivity and real help to people who need it most. Key to Joy improves the wellbeing of adults with mild to moderate learning difficulties through a range of life-enhancing activities. Their work creates meaningful impact — turning difficult situations into moments of hope and opportunity.
