As a former Army Doctor, I have had the privilege of serving alongside some truly inspiring individuals, many of whom have faced serious life-changing injuries. Sight loss is one of the most profound challenges one can encounter, and I have met soldiers who have experienced this devastating loss, often compounded by other catastrophic injuries.
