Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Over the last three years I have undertaken a number of long-distance walks, including my 2021 Land's End to John O'Groats 'LETJOG' trek, in support of charities that have included Parkinson's UK. Like many, I have friends with a diagnosis of the condition, and my aim is to continue raising awareness and some funds for their valuable work - in particular in the area of medical research into the causes, relief and a potential cure for Parkinson's disease.

Over the six weeks or so from 14 April until the end of May I shall be attempting to walk between the eastern and western extremities of the mainland British Isles: from Lowestoft Ness on the North Sea coast of Suffolk, over central England and Wales, and then (after a ferry crossing of the Irish Sea from Fishguard to Rosslare) across Ireland to Dunmore Head on the tip of the Dingle Peninsula - around 650 miles in total!

Please join my journey via my BLOG on www.letjog.co.uk and, if you are able, then any contribution to Parkinson's UK would of course be very greatly appreciated.

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
