Nick and Karen's fundraiser for Teenage Cancer Trust

WhatSpa? Grand Tour 2025
This Summer and Autumn, Karen and Nick from WhatSpa? Magazine will be cycling over 2,000 miles across the UK – from the tip of Scotland to the shores of Cornwall (and even across to Northern Ireland) – visiting more than 100 WhatSpa? Approved hot tub showrooms.
This is our opportunity for everyone involved in the hot tub and wet leisure industry and our customers to really show that we care about how cancer affects the lives of young people and their families and give something back as part of a big coordinated joint effort.
We’ve teamed up with Teenage Cancer Trust, a phenomenal charity that offers unique care and support, designed for and with young people. They fund specialised nurses, youth workers and hospital units in the NHS, so that young people have dedicated staff and facilities to support them throughout their diagnosis, treatment and recovery.
Every region of the UK has several Teenage Cancer Trust units (28 in total and counting), and your valued donations will help to support local young people that are battling cancer today.
We'll be sharing stories of some of the amazing children and young adults that Teenage Cancer Trust have helped as we embark on our cycling journey across the UK.
Every donation – no matter the size – makes a genuine difference. If you’re a hot tub owner, work in the industry, or simply want to make a young person smile again, please support this epic journey.
Let’s show these teenagers and their families that they’re not alone, and give them the chance to make the most of every precious moment together.
Together, we can turn miles into memories💕.
Here's how you can help Teenage Cancer Trust to provide the vital services that they offer to young cancer patients:
• £25 pays for an hour with a Youth Support Coordinator to help with things like studies, relationships and mental wellbeing throughout cancer treatment.
• £60 pays for two hours of expert care from a Teenage Cancer Trust Nurse in one of their 28 specialist hospital units.
• £200 could buy a block of yoga, music or art lessons, helping young patients relax, refocus and enjoy a much-needed break from their cancer treatment.
• £500 can pay for a group activity for young people to hang out together, share their stories and support each other, such as pizza nights and trips out.
• £1,000 equips one of the Teenage Cancer Trust hospital units with all the things that make make them feel special, like TV's, sofas, pool tables and space to hang out, chat and socialise.
Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity providing specialised nursing care and support for young people with cancer. Their wonderful nursing and support staff are here 24/7 for anyone diagnosed with cancer aged 13-24, and their loved ones too.
