Story
I always wanted to drive an ambulance!! And on May 10th this year, I will (with your help)... on a 2000km journey.... and for an amazing charity: Medical Life Line Ukraine (MLLU) delivering 6 ambulances filled with medical supplies to Ukraine!
In order to do this, I need to raise at least £10,000 to participate in the cost of buying the second-hand ambulances and sourcing the necessary supplies and equipment to make it fit for active duty. With your generous contribution, I am hoping to reach this target and possibly even more!
The charity has, so far delivered a staggering 125, ambulances and other emergency vehicles to the war-torn areas of Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion on 24th February 2022. Russia continues to target civilian infrastructure including apartments, hospitals, and electricity generation. The demand for humanitarian aid, civil defence support and medical supplies is unrelenting.
This is why 4 years on they still need our help and support more than ever. The medical supplies we are after are the usual such as bandages, dressings, wheelchairs, walking-crutches and most in demand are tourniquets and dermatone machines.
Finally the recent escalation in drone attacks has targeted even more emergency vehicles so we are now planning to fit drone/electronic wave jammers to the vehicle as the attacks are increasing and deadly! (24/03 - 948 drones launched by Russia over 24 hours!)
I would be really grateful for any sharing and reposting across your networks to help raise the funds for this epic drive.
Please donate whatever you can to this worthy cause and leave your email address when donating as I will aim to post an update before leaving and on my return.
Thank you from me, the charity and the Ukrainians.
Important: you can use GiftAid if you're a UK taxpayer, which will be added to your donation!
