Story
I am fundraising for Pegasus by running the Oxford Half Marathon on 12 October 2025.
Pegasus has been creating theatre for, by and with young people in East Oxford for over 60 years, inspiring imagination and aspiration for successive generations of young people. The theatre strives to be accessible and affordable for all: It provides inclusion and community projects, as well as fully-supported places on all classes and courses, and community tickets for local groups and charitable organisations. More than 16000 people engaged with Pegasus's ambitious programme in 2024-25.
I joined the Pegasus Board at the end of 2019 just before the pandemic and became Co-Chair towards the end of 2024. Throughout my time on the Board, I have been truely amazed by the breadth of work, creativity and support Pegasus undertakes, from the Pegasus Young Companies, inclusion projects, artist support and development and a programme for the local community to just touch the surface. The work Pegasus does is only made possible due to an incredibly supportive and commited staff team.
As most people are aware, the recent years have been a challenging time for the Arts, with recovery from the pandemic, increasing costs (Theatres are not cheap places to run) and the cost of living crisis. Through all this, Pegasus still aims and is commited to be as affordable and inclusive for all, however this can't be done without substantial fundraising and that is where you come in! Any sponsorship will be gratefully received and will go towards ensuring Pegasus continues to serve young people and communities in Oxford.
Thank you so much!
Nick
