On Monday 28th September, I'll be walking 100 laps of the outfield at Lord's Cricket Ground. That's 50km (31 miles) all in one day.

I'm doing it to shine a spotlight on dementia, the UK's biggest killer.

Dementia touches almost every family in some way. It slowly takes away memories, independence and the ability to recognise the people we love, and it's devastating for those living with it and for everyone around them. Yet despite the scale of the harm it causes, it remains nowhere near as well understood or as well researched as many other major conditions. That has to change.

Every pound raised will go to Alzheimer's Society as they continue to support people with dementia today and fund vital research that will one day end the devastation dementia causes.
