I am thrilled to have qualified as an age graded "athlete" for the London Marathon via the 2023 Manchester event. I therefore have the luxury of being able run for a lesser known local charity under no pressure to meet the typical threshold required for such a massive event.

My next door neighbour, Pete Miller, in the small N. Yorkshire village of Terrington, set up this charity following the untimely death of his son, Liam, in tragic circumstances.

Although I never met Liam, judging from his work, he was a talented artist. He received help and encouragement when he was a student, hence the focus of the charity. It may, for example, provide an iPad to a student who otherwise could not afford one..
