Mount Kenya 5,200m

Nick Steel is raising money for The Chiltern Centre

Mount Kenya Trek · 19 September 2026

In a few short weeks our team will take on Point Lenana, the trekking summit of the mighty Mount Kenya. Just 2 of the team will be going on the technical climb to the true summit standing at 5,200m. Follow their journey, support, donate.

Story

Eight of us are taking on the challenge of climbing Mount Kenya to raise money for a cause that means a great deal to us, The Chiltern Centre - to help young people with learning disabilities to gain confidence and self-esteem and experience greater joy in their lives.

Standing at over 5,000 metres, the climb will test our determination, resilience and teamwork through long days, steep trails and high altitude. While this will be a tough adventure, we know it is nothing compared with the challenges faced every day by the people this charity supports.

That's why we're climbing. Every step we take is an opportunity to raise awareness and vital funds that will help make a real difference. Your donation—whatever the amount—will support the charity's important work and motivate us as we push towards the summit.

Please help us turn this incredible challenge into something even more meaningful. By donating and sharing our page, you'll be part of our journey every step of the way. Together, we can reach the summit and make a lasting impact. Thank you for your support.
