Nick's fundraiser for MND Scotland

Nick Summersgill is raising money for MND Scotland
In memory of Helen Summersgill

Story

My mum Helen Summersgill died from MND in 2018 after a brave two-year fight. She was a proud Scot living in England and never forgot her Scottish roots. As a tribute to her cross border heritage I have chosen to walk the Hadrian's Way Walk and raise some money for MND Scotland.

Although recently retired due to other commitments such as grandparent duties I will walk the wall in stages as I can. Yesterday (19/8/2025) I started out from Bowness on Solway and finished in Carlisle. Over the coming weeks I will continue east in stages.

MND Scotland is the only Scottish charity providing care and support to people affected by Motor Neuron Disease (MND), as well as funding research to take us a step closer to a cure.

We want a world without Motor Neuron Disease, so I’m fundraising because I want to help find a cure for this devastating disease.

Sponsoring me will also help MND Scotland to provide practical, financial, and emotional support to people affected by MND.

Thank you!
