Breaking Barriers Building Bridges (BBBB) has supported young people and families across Nottingham since 2014. Through youth clubs, football sessions, holiday activities, outreach work and one-to-one guidance, BBBB creates safe spaces where young people can build confidence, access opportunities and receive support when they need it most.

The organisation works with people experiencing serious challenges, including family breakdown, violence, bullying, debt, domestic abuse and sexual exploitation. Its experienced outreach team also provides mediation during community conflicts, helping to prevent violence from escalating and supporting young people to stay safe and away from the criminal justice system.

BBBB’s work includes detached youth outreach, domestic abuse and healthy-relationship programmes, and targeted support for young people who are new to the UK. Its Somali Boys Project supported 22 young men with citizenship, education, employment, relationships and the challenges of life in the UK—helping three participants progress to university and six enter further education.

This year, BBBB is joining forces with Himmah to take on the Robin Hood Half Marathon. Together, we are running to raise vital funds and help both organisations continue creating safer, stronger and more hopeful futures for people across Nottingham.
