Story

Nick and Rachel will be hiking 2,025km (approx. 1250 miles) in one continuous trek, from Solihull, UK to Santiago de Compostela, Spain.

They leave Solihull on 4th April and will hike between 15 and 20 miles a day, finishing around mid July. They will be carrying all their own kit and hiking through the UK, France and Spain. They will be walking through forests, by rivers, by the coast, over the Pyrenees, and finally joining the start of the Camino de Santiago de Compostela in St. Jean Pied-de-Port for the final 5 weeks of the 3-month trek.

As commanding officer of the Solihull School Combined Cadet Force (CCF), Nick is keen to raise money for former service men and women & their families to face their toughest battles yet, including painful injuries, mental trauma, disabilities and in some cases, isolation. Help for Heroes gives life-changing services to support these veterans, with both physical & mental health care, to help with welfare & medical needs.

Your fundraising ensures they get this specialist support for life.
