Story

Hi there - Lauren and Nicki here.

We are swapping a quiet evening at home for glow sticks, neon attire and trainers to tackle the Herriot Hospice Moonlight Glow Walk at Thirsk Racecourse on the 3rd of October 2026. Herriot Hospice provides essential end-of-life care, respite and support to local families during their most difficult moments.

Nicki already cracks like a glow stick when she gets up and it's been a while since Lauren has worn her PE kit, but we're determined (and actually quite looking forward to it). As sisters, we are committed to tackling this challenge together for a cause that means a lot to us.

If you can spare a few coins to boost our morale and power us to the finish line, please donate to our page. Every contribution goes directly toward funding local hospice care.

Thank you for supporting our page and helping us reach our target.

More about Herriot Hospice

Herriot Hospice supports local families living with terminal illnesses and bereavement across Hambleton and Richmondshire. Their specialist care allows people to spend their last days in the place of their choice.

As well as home-care, the opening of the new in-patient unit in Thirsk, Herriot Hospice at The Lambert, marks a new era for hospice care for the community. The phased welcoming of overnight patients begun in March 2026, and the gradual opening will continue throughout the year.

Herriot Hospice relies on the generosity and support of the community to continue offering these services, and every pound donated will make a difference to people facing the most difficult time of their lives.
