I'm supporting Day One Trauma Support by taking on the Helvellyn Starlight Trek. This is a guided 950-metre night ascent up Helvellyn in the Lake District, scheduled to take place on Saturday 10th October.

As if I needed more reasons to trip and fall, I have decided walking up a mountain in the dark would be a good idea....

Seriously though, I am doing this to raise funds for Day One Trauma Support and would appreciate any donations you are able to give.

Day One are a charity who support many of the clients I work with following serious, life-changing injuries. They receive no NHS or government funding so every pound raised will make a huge difference to families who are rebuilding their lives.
