I am taking on this challenge in memory of my beautiful little girl, Robyn. On December 27th 2024, at 2 years and 2 months old, Robyn died of sepsis. As the brightest light in my life, she continues to guide me on the journey through grief, and through that journey I have been lucky enough to meet the amazing people at The Good Grief Project.

The Good Grief Project is an incredible charity dedicated to helping bereaved parents and siblings find new, active and creative ways of expressing grief. They provide a safe and supporitve environment in which to honour our children, all of whom have died too soon.

Attending one of The Good Grief Project's Active Grief Weekends helped me in more ways than I can describe, and I am so grateful for all the amazing work that Jimmy, Jane and Joe do for parents and siblings as we try to navigate our way through grief after losing our loved ones.

I want to give back to The Good Grief Project, so I am asking for help in raising money so that these incredible people can continue to provide help and support where it is desperately needed.

I'll be joining a number of other bereaved parents and siblings as we undertake a 20 mile trek over some of Dartmoor’s wildest terrain, climbing and descending some 2000 metres of elevation in order to cover 15 of its lesser-known but highest tors - all in under 10 hours.

As well as raising money for a truly great cause, it’s also about coming together to share our grief in an active way – to walk, talk and support each other. Robyn is my inspiration, she keeps me going as I carry her with me always. And she will help me take on every step of this challenge.
