Story
Location: Sleights Cricket Pitch
Time: 2pm - 8pm
Some people pass through your life. Nick was the one who made it better just by being part of it. He would have turned 36 on the 5th of July. To mark it, his family and friends are throwing the kind of day he would have loved: loud, warm, a bit daft, and full of the people he cared about.
Behind the jokes, Nick was one of the most genuinely good people you could hope to meet. He measured people by whether they were kind, and he lived by the same standard. He had a knack for spotting when someone wasn't okay and a way of making things feel lighter again. He showed up for people, again and again, often when they needed it most.
Join us on Saturday the 4th of July at Sleights Cricket Pitch, from 2pm until 8pm. There'll be a BBQ, drinks and a cake stall, live music from Best Served Cold, a 5-a-side football tournament (all ages and abilities, trophy included), a bouncy castle, a tombola and field games. A proper community day out.
Every penny raised goes to Embers, a charity that supports young adults aged 18 to 40 living with terminal and incurable cancer. Looking out for others was second nature to Nick, so it feels exactly right to raise money for people who need it.
Come along, give what you can, and help us celebrate a life that meant so much to so many.
