Biking Britain for Bendrigg

Nicks Lands End to John O’Groats Bike Ride · 21 May 2024
Since I first came to Bendrigg as a volunteer, many years ago, I’ve been struck by how powerful the spirit of adventure can be. It is a bona fide superpower, capable of filling any one of us with conviction and confidence, with new abilities and renewed agency.
I’m delighted to be undertaking this challenge to raise money for our wonderful charity, Bendrigg; a specialist, inclusive, outdoor education centre and training provider that works with a broad range of individuals across the UK. At Bendrigg, there is a limitless supply of adventure and a limitless determination to improve peoples lives.
Beginning on 21st May 2024, I’ll be cycling from Lands End to John O’Groats over 11 days, riding in total 1014 miles. I’ll be taking on the challenge with my (not so old) old friend, Lorien Slaughter. Neither Lori or I have ever done anything like this before. It is totally outside both our comfort zones.
It’s likely to be difficult, it’s likely to be painful, but I've invested in a good saddle and some very nice lycra, padded shorts! I would appreciate it if you could please make all the discomfort worthwhile by giving to Bendrigg whatever money you feel you can. I promise, we will spend the money wisely. Take it from me, all charities need all the support they can get during such difficult times.
Thank you
Tally-Ho. See you on the other side. (Scared/nervous/anxious emoji face!)
