Lignacite Reach For The Peaks Challenge 2026

Reach For The Peaks Challenge is raising money for East Anglia's Children's Hospices

Team: Lignacite fundraising for EACH 2026

Nick's Reach For The Peaks Challenge 2026

Lignacite is proud to support EACH as our 2026 Charity of the Year. From our COO Nick’s REACH THE PEAKS challenge to team events, we're raising funds to provide vital care for local children with life-threatening conditions and their families.

Story

This year, I’ve embarked on an incredible journey—one that will test my endurance, push my limits, and, most importantly, support a cause that means a great deal to me. In 2026, I’m taking on Reach for the Peaks, a year long challenge that begins with climbing the highest peaks in England, Wales, and Scotland, and continues with the Keswick Mountain Festival, where I’ll tackle eight new summits in the Lake District.

All of this is preparation for the three major challenges ahead:

• Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa

• Completing the 24 Peak Challenge in the Lake District—often described as the toughest trek in the UK

• Running three marathons in three days along the dramatic clifftop trails of the Cornish coastline

These events will take me across some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the UK and beyond—from the rugged fells of the Lake District to the sweeping Cornish coast, and finally to the iconic slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. Standing at 19,340 feet, Kilimanjaro is the highest freestanding mountain in the world and one of the largest volcanoes on Earth. Despite sitting just three degrees below the Equator, its summit remains permanently capped with snow and ice—a truly awe inspiring sight.

Across the full challenge, I’ll cover 235 miles and climb a total of 59,500 feet of elevation—almost twice the height of Mount Everest. My 2026 schedule looks like this:

But this journey isn’t just about the miles or the mountains—it’s about making a meaningful difference.

I’m raising funds for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), who provide compassionate, specialist care for children and young people with life threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk, and Suffolk. Their support reaches families wherever they need it most—whether that’s at home, in hospital, or at one of their hospices: Milton, The Treehouse, and The Nook.

Their work is only possible through the generosity of others, which is why I’ve committed to raising a minimum of £6,000. Every donation, no matter the size, helps ensure that EACH can continue offering vital care to families during their most difficult moments.

All funds raised go directly to EACH. I’m incredibly grateful to Lignacite for supporting me throughout this challenge—meaning that none of your donations will be used to cover costs.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and for considering a donation. Your support truly means the world.
