Nicky and Tobi's Kelpies Abseil for Age Scotland

Kelpies Experience for Age Scotland · 30 May 2025 ·
Age Scotland work to improve the lives of people over the age of 50 in Scotland. They provide a free helpline, support older people’s groups, promote age and dementia-friendly communities, deliver wellbeing programmes, and campaign on behalf of older people.
Nicky and Tobias will climb nearly 100ft to the mouth of the Kelpies and abseil down again on the 30th May to raise money for Age Scotland.
We're lucky to have each other, our friends and family to spend time with when we're lonely, but many older people don't have access to friends, family or a community to support them.
Age Scotland is here to help:
£5 can fund a friendship line call
£10 can fund a helpline call
£50 would allow us to support and connect three lonely older people to local groups and activities
£75 could cover the cost of a weekly lunch club meeting for 15 older people
£500 could help a small group of isolated older people go on an outing or trip together once per year.
A small amount can make a big difference for an older person.
“I have made new friends and don’t feel so lonely”
"Attendees were mainly older people who live alone and need social connection. Our lunch together went a small way to achieve this"
