Reading Operatic Society established in 1951 and has been producing local shows in the Kenton Theatre since 2018. The aim of the society is to produce professional-standard shows which cost more than £19,000 in this case and that excludes a lot of goodwill, voluntary help, cost-saving effort and pure imagination.

Reading Operatic Society has no grant assistance and relies solely on ticket sales, show raffles, membership fees, matched giving and the much appreciated charitable gifts and sponsorships of our supporters.

Our members will be taking on the major challenge of a 24-Hour Danceathon in aid of Reading Operatic Society. They will be dancing for 24-hours non stop with, workshops from other local dance groups, which is no mean feat.
