I haven't done any mad fund raising challenges for a while, and I've not posted until now as I'm not convinced it's a sensible one to do when you're scared of flying but..... on Thursday, I'm going to go wing walking.

This is in the build up to a trip to the Falkland Islands in February 2024where we will be yomping from San Carlos, Goose Green to Port Stanley over 5 days. All in aid of the RAF Benevolent Fund.

Having been a boarder at the time of the Falklands war, and most of the boarders being children of service men, i remember how scared we all were about the war and we were allowed to actually watch the news so that we could find out what was going on (otherwise we were only allowed to watch the telly once a week!) Who doesn'tremember Brian Hanrahan - he counted them all out and he counted them back in again.

Dad thankfully wasn't needed during the war but did go down to the Falklands when the war was over to help with the redevelopment - I'm hoping to visit the medical centre whilst we're there!
