Story
About a year ago we lost my twin brother Jon to Oesophageal cancer. He spent his last week in Pendleside Hospice where he received the most exceptional care.
On 13 June 2026, I’m taking part in the Pendle Pub Walk 2026, a 13-mile circular walk through Pendle’s beautiful countryside, to raise vital funds for Pendleside Hospice.
Now in its 17th year, this much-loved community event brings together over 2,000 walkers, using local pubs as friendly way-points.
Pendleside Hospice exists to promote and enhance quality of life for people with life-limiting illnesses, their families and carers, providing specialist, holistic palliative care that supports physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs.
It currently costs £6.4 million a year to run the hospice, with only around 20% funded. That’s why fundraising – and your support – is so important.
