I'm raising money for Wigan and Leigh Hospice to say thank you for the wonderful care they provided to my friend recently.

Like many people, we wrongly assumed that the hospice would be a sad place to be but the amazing staff and beautiful surroundings make this such a special place. Not only did the hospice team provide outstanding care, they showed such kindness to our friends and their children during an awful time.

I'll be forever grateful to the team for helping Nick to feel better so that he could come home to his family - an outcome that we thought impossible just a few weeks ago.
