It raises and distributes funds to support the work of the Borders General hospital

Story

As many of you know, last year, Jim faced a serious health crisis that changed our lives forever. After battling sepsis and a perforated bowel, he experienced a life-threatening anaphylactic shock during surgery.

Thankfully, the incredible nurses, doctors, and surgeons at the hospital provided first-class care that helped him pull through this traumatic experience. We are eternally grateful for their dedication and expertise.

In light of this experience, we have decided to give back to the hospital, so along with friends and family, we will embark on a personal walk along St Cuthberts Way over four days and covering 62.5 miles. Last year I underwent knee surgery, so l am hopeful my knees will hold up during this challenge. However, any discomfort I may feel is nothing compared to what Jim endured.

We kindly ask for your support in this endeavor. Our target is to raise £1,500 to contribute towards the invaluable work done by the hospital staff who saved a life.

Please consider donating anything you can; every little bit helps us make a difference. Thank you for your generosity! Monies will go to 'FRIENDS OF THE BGH' and the departments involved in their treatment. On the 1st of May 2025,
