Silverstone 10k · 1 May 2024

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

I've entered to do the Silverstone 10k on May 1st and as it will be a year in May since we lost Dad, I thought it would be a lovely opportunity to raise some money in his memory for the Stroke Association. 🥰

I enjoy doing different 5k parkruns, but have never taken part in an event and 10k is further than my usual distance - so a bit of a personal challenge for me that takes me out of my comfort zone. Also, having watched cars, motorbikes and trucks racing at Silverstone (something Dad enjoyed too), I'm quite looking forward to completing 2 laps on the track.

Please don't feel obliged, I know money is tight for most of us. But I'll be very grateful of any donations.

This one is for you Dad 😘
