Hi everyone, thank you for visiting our Just Giving page, we are best friends who have shared ten wonderful years of friendship, laughter, and support, and we’re so excited to be taking on a new challenge together to raise money for Bury Hospice. As primary school teachers, caring for others is at the heart of everything we do, and supporting a local charity that provides such vital care to our community means a great deal to us.

We’ll be taking part in Strictly Best Foot Forward, which involves a series of 12 ballroom and Latin dance lessons, pushing us well outside our comfort zones! Our journey will culminate in a special showcase performance for our family and friends, where we’ll be putting all our hard work, dedication, and dancing shoes to the test for a very worthy cause.

We both love to dance and can’t wait to get started on this exciting experience together. Knowing that every step, spin, and shimmy will help support the incredible work of Bury Hospice makes it even more meaningful. It costs £4.8million pounds to run Bury Hospice, and as a charity they only receive 13% of this figure from the government leaving them to raise the majority themselves. Every donation makes a difference.

£10 - Could pay for a patients evening meal

£25 - Could pay for a bereavement support session

£50 - Could pay for a home visit by our community outreach team

£75 - Could pay for a nurse for half a day

£150 - Could pay for a nurse for a day

£450 - Could pay for a bed for a day
