Education is key to ending poverty and every child deserves equal access to learning. World Villages for Children supports the Sisters of Mary to run live-in schools providing care and a quality education for the most deprived boys and girls across the world.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have decided to do the Bedgebury Forest 10K Run on Sunday 27th October to raise funds for new school places for youngsters in Dodoma, Tanzania.

When Mark and I visited the new Sisters of Mary school in Dodoma last September we were so inspired by what we saw at the school and the absolute joy of the vulnerable youngsters who were lucky enough to have a place there.

We then saw the desperate need of young boys in the local communities who weren't so lucky.

This year, the Sisters are meeting thousands of youngsters urgently in need of a place at the school and they hope to bring in more new boys next January. It costs £1200 to fund a place for a child for a year at the school so that is my target. Would you consider sponsoring me so we can welcome more youngsters like these in 2025?
