This year, I am running the Chester Marathon on October 11th to raise funds for Dementia Sings Out, a charity that is incredibly close to my heart.

I am running in honour of my amazing Nan, who will be 101 years old by the time I cross the finish line. For a long time, she absolutely loved attending their weekly singing sessions.

Dementia is a cruel disease that took so much away from my Nan. However, it could never take away her deep love for music. Even when things got difficult, music had the magic power to completely change her mood in an instant.

Dementia Sings Out provides a lifeline for everyone who attends each week. It proves that music is a powerful tool for connection, joy, and comfort when people need it most.
