This is the JustGiving page for everyone running the 2027 TCS London Marathon in support of Fire Fighters Charity.
Story
On Sunday 25th April 2027, I'll be running the London Marathon for the Fire Fighters Charity in memory of my Dad, who we lost to cancer in 2023 and miss every day.
Dad served 28 years in the London Fire Brigade, including being called to Grenfell in 2017. He gave his career to protecting others, often at real cost to himself. When his health declined, the Fire Fighters Charity supported him and our family through his end-of-life care with a kindness I'll never forget. They were there for him when it mattered most, and I want to make sure they can be there for other firefighters and their families too.
Dad was a great man. He was kind, brave and completely devoted to his family, friends and job as a firefighter. Running 26.2 miles feels like a small way to honour everything he gave and to say thank you to the charity that stood beside him.
The date of the London Marathon feels particularly special too, as it falls in the week of my Dad’s birthday and the week before the anniversary of his passing.
Every donation, big or small, goes directly to supporting firefighters and their families through injury, illness and the toughest moments life throws at them. Thank you for helping me run this one for my dad.
