CoppaTrek! Sahara Desert · 8 November 2025 to 16 November 2025 ·

This November, our fabulous CoppaFeel! trekkers will be taking on 100km over 5 days in the Sahara Desert, all in the name of chest checking!

Story

As you helped us smash over £6000 in our cross Sahara challenge, we have decided we haven’t walked enough yet and are heading off to the Peak District to do some more !! We’d love to raise an extra £615 to make a nice neat number if possible!! We are thrilled to have been selected again by Coppafeel !!

3 years ago one of my best friends, and my beautiful bridesmaid was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was only in her 40’s. We’ve known each other a lifetime - we even met our future husbands on the same weekend. Our oldest daughters are both at uni in Brighton. There’s a thread that’s always kept us connected although she’s gallivanted all over the world.

I am thrilled to report she’s through the other side, but she’d be the first person to admit how absolutely horrific it was. Just brutal. I know lucky isn’t a word we’d use in this situation but she’s here with us and we are beyond grateful. I know we all know many people affected by cancer, but for me, that one hit hard. Her “check your boobs” rings in my ears constantly!! If you have boobs, DO IT. And it’s just not women. Men can get breast cancer too ! Tell everyone you know to check them. (Preferably people you know obviously - please don’t say it to strangers!! That might be weird.)

I know times are hard for everyone and to raise our target of £6000 won’t be easy, but every little bit takes us closer to our goal. And if not, please share !

Faster detection and education saves lives - help us support that !!

Love,

Nicky & Megan xxx

Coopa Feel ! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest.

We educate people on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests regularly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves. We do this because when diagnosed early and accurately, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection truly can save lives.
